The registration deadline for the WAEC GCE 2nd Series has been extended. The new final deadline for registration is October 5th.
Please note that the deadline for generating the required PIN has also been adjusted to October 3rd. It is crucial to complete both the PIN generation and the full online registration before their respective deadlines.
WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2025 – 2nd Series Registration
To register for the WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2025-Second Series, you must first obtain a Registration PIN. Once you have the PIN, you can complete the online registration process. The official website for registration is www.waeconline.org.ng.
The registration procedure requires candidates to provide biometric data. This information will be used to verify your identity at the examination center.

Mode of Examination
The 2025 GCE will be a hybrid exam, with objective papers being Computer-Based (CBT) and theory/practical papers using a mix of on-screen questions and paper-based answers.
Requirements
Ensure you have your National Identification Number (NIN) and a recent passport photograph, and complete the biometric data capture as part of the registration process.
How to Pay
The registration fee for the WASSCE for Private Candidates is ₦27,000. You can pay this fee at any branch of the listed banks or at an accredited agent to get your Registration PIN and an information VCD.
Please note that a commission of ₦500 will also be charged by the banks or agents.

Walk-in Candidates
If you miss the registration deadline, you can still register as a “Walk-in-Candidate.” The fee for this is ₦45,000. To be eligible, you must register at least 24 hours before the scheduled time of the first paper you plan to write.
Special Needs Candidates
Candidates with special needs must register online like everyone else, but they must clearly state their impairment during registration (e.g., Visual, Low vision, Spastic, Speech, Hard of hearing, etc.).

Completing Your Registration
Once you start your online registration, you MUST complete it within two weeks. Double-check that all your details are correct, including your name, gender, passport photograph, date of birth, and subjects.
Incase you missed: JAMB Mop-Up Exam will hold on 28th June, 2025
After successfully registering, print your Admission Notice. This document serves as proof of registration and will be required for identification during the exam. The Admission Notice will also include your Result Checker PIN. The only acceptable fingerprint scanner for registration is the UareU digitalPersona fingerprint device.
