PSG gives update on Dembélé & Hakimi’s injury

Paris Saint-Germain has confirmed significant injury blows to key players Achraf Hakimi and Ousmane Dembélé, sidelining them for a challenging run of fixtures.

Moroccan defender Achraf Hakimi suffered a severe sprain to his left ankle during the recent Champions League match. Fortunately, initial fears of a major ligament rupture were averted, though he still faces several weeks out. The injury makes his availability for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations highly doubtful, representing a huge loss for both PSG and his national team.

Adding to the concerns, winger Ousmane Dembélé has been diagnosed with a lesion in his left calf, forcing him to miss action over the coming weeks due to the injury. His absence creates a considerable void on the right flank, and manager Luis Enrique must now leverage his full squad to navigate important matches in Ligue 1 and the Champions League without two of his essential starters.
