Arsenal Football Club is set complete its first signing of the 2025 summer transfer window.
Fabrizio Romano confirmed the transfer of the Spaniard on his social media on Friday, June 20, 2025. In the report, he stated that Arsenal reportedly reached an agreement with Real Sociedad midfielder, Martin Zubimendi, as he is to become the first signing for the gunners this summer.

Zubimendi won the European Championship with Spain last year having played his role for the team. He was key in helping Real Sociedad win silverware in the Copa del Rey and playing a key role in their return to the Champions League last year.
The Spaniard has been on the radar of Liverpool since the 2024 summer transfer window but decided to remain with Real Sociedad for one more season. The Spaniard’s buyout clause was placed at €65 million by Real Sociedad.
However, there are reports that Arsenal might pay more for the midfielder but will have to pay spread the payment structure. Zubimendi is expected to replace Thomas Partey at the club who is currently out of contract with the Gunners.
The Ghanaian international current deal will expire on June 30, 2025. We will update you on photo of the prospective signing if the deal is completed in a new publication.
