Enzo Maresca’s statement on Nicolas Jackson exit

Nicolas Jackson future at Chelsea Football Club has been a topic of conversation amongst most supporters in the past few weeks.

There have been reports that Nicolas Jackson could be on his way to join Newcastle United which is dependent on whether the Magpies sell Alexander Isak. The blues head coach, Enzo Maresca has spoken for the first time concerning the future of the Senegalese.

According to the Italian, there is nothing impossible in the transfer wonder, there is a possibility of any player leaving and that does not exempt Jackson.

He stated,

“Nico is okay. When the window is open, anything can happen. This involves Nico’s situation. At the moment, the two strikers have arrived. So we will see.”

How many goals has Nicolas Jackson scored for Chelsea?

Jackson scored a total of 24 goals in 65 appearances for Chelsea (14 goals in 2023–24 and 10 in 2024–25). Also, he has a total of 30 goals to his name in 81 games in all competitions for the Blues.

He also spoke about the possibility of some other players leaving the club, he said;

“The situation is quite clear. They are training. I guess they are waiting for solutions. When they leave, the club texts or calls me. I don’t pay attention to the ones that are training and need to leave. I just focus on how we prepare for the session and win games.”
