The Metropolitan Police Service opens new rape charges against former Arsenal Defensive midfielder, Thomas Partey.
This rape charges comes shortly after Thomas Partey’s contract with Arsenal football club expired last month. The Ghanaian and the north london side failed to reach an agreement.
The 32-year old is now a free agent and hasn’t yet secured a contract with any club.
Top transfer news expert, Fabrizio Romano confirmed this on his official Facebook account on 4th July 2025, concerning the new rape charges.
Meanwhile, the Offences alleged to have taken place between 2021 and 2022.
Fabrizio wrote, “The Crown Prosecution Service has authorised the Metropolitan Police Service to charge a man after a file of evidence was submitted by detectives.
The Met has issued a charge and requisition to Thomas Partey, 32 (13/06/1992), of Hertfordshire, in connection with the following offences: Five counts of rape, One count of sexual assault.”
These might be the end of Partey’s professional football career as he might spend most of his life behind bars.
