A Coroner’s Court in Ikorodu, Lagos State, has authorized substituted service on key witnesses in the ongoing inquest into Mohbad’s death.
The court allows the family’s legal team to reach additional witnesses who may have information about Mohbad’s death. Magistrate T. A. Sotobi granted Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, permission to serve witness summonses on interested persons through a reputable national newspaper and social media platforms.

The inquest aims to uncover the circumstances surrounding demise of late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba (aka Mohbad).

The witnesses include;
- Azeez Fashola (aka Naira Marley)
- Samson Eletu (aka Sam Larry)
- Karimot Ogunbayo (Mohbad’s sister-in-law)
- Boluwatife Adeyemo (aka Darosha)
- Oluwasanmi Falade (Mohbad’s lawyer)
- Feyisayo Ogedengbe (the nurse who treated Mohbad)
- Fidelis Esanbor (the driver who drove Mohbad to the hospital)
Lastly, the court’s approval for substituted service brings the family one step closer to seeking justice.
