Chelsea’s Italian tactician, Enzo Maresca, has been named the Premier league manager of the month and as well another Chelsea star that won the player of the month for September 2024.
The innovative tactics of the 44-years old manager and player positioning have unlocked the potential of Chelsea’s squad, particularly Cole Palmer, who won the Premier League player of the month award.
Enzo Maresca was nominated alongside Mikel Arteta, Unai Emery, Marco Silva and Arne Slot, for the first time after an impressive month with Chelsea, claimed the award after votes from the public were combined with those of a panel of experts.
Chelsea were one of the high-scoring teams in the Premier League in September having scored nine goals. This impressive form saw the Blues finish the month in the top four teams on the league table under Enzo Maresca.
Palmer scored five goals and provided an assists, as he guides Chelsea to crucial victories in the Premier League and cementing his status as one of the best players in the league.
The 21-year-old midfielder made also made history by becoming the first player to score four goals in the first half of a Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion, a feat that has never been achieved by any player.
