Chelsea’s João Félix linked with move to Al Nassr

The association between Chelsea Football Club and João Félix appears to be nearing its conclusion, as the Blues have reportedly finalized an agreement with Al Nassr.

Prominent transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed the impending transfer of the Portuguese attacker on his official X account on Sunday, July 27, 2025. According to Romano, Al Nassr and Chelsea have reached a mutual understanding regarding the player’s move, with Félix himself also consenting to the switch to Saudi Arabia.

Previously, Benfica had expressed interest in re-signing Félix, even negotiating a deal with Chelsea that included offers for partial economic rights (€20-25 million) alongside sell-on clauses. Despite Félix openly expressing a desire to return home and regain comfort, a different opportunity has emerged.

Al Nassr’s Bid for João Félix

In a recent turn of events, Al Nassr (from the Saudi Pro League) reportedly submitted a bid of approximately €45-50 million for Félix. This move would see Félix join his compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo under manager Jorge Jesus on what is described as a lucrative contract.

Félix has struggled to consistently deliver on the potential he displayed during his time at Atlético Madrid, which continued through his loan spells at Chelsea and Barcelona. Despite Chelsea securing a permanent deal for him during the 2024 summer transfer window, he failed to establish himself in the first team, managing only one goal in 12 league appearances.

The midfielder also completed a loan move to AC Milan during the 2025 January transfer window, hoping to secure a permanent deal there, but that ambition did not materialize. During his time at Milan, he made 15 Serie A appearances, scoring two goals and providing one assist, a return considered underwhelming for a player of his caliber.
