Music icon D’Banj recently offered a definitive account of the breakup of Mo’ Hits Records and his professional split from Don Jazzy in the early 2010s.
Speaking on the Mic On podcast, D’Banj claimed the decision to part ways was 100 per cent Don Jazzy’s, contradicting earlier reports that cited a mutual disagreement. D’Banj emphasized that this is why they remain cordial, stating he would not have changed anything about their relationship since the idea for the split originated with the producer.

D’Banj also revealed that Don Jazzy gave him his entire catalogue, plus ten unreleased songs under the now defunct Mo’ Hits records. He added that he has no regrets about the split, viewing it as predestined, although he admits he misses collaborating with his former partner.
