Maurizio Sarri, the 66-year-old former Chelsea manager and current Lazio head coach, has successfully undergone heart surgery to treat atrial fibrillation.
After experiencing symptoms of an irregular heartbeat, Sarri underwent a minimally invasive catheter ablation at Rome’s Policlinico Tor Vergata hospital. Lazio confirmed the procedure was complication-free and thanked the medical staff for their care.

While the former chelsea manager takes a brief period to recover from the surgery, assistant coach Marco Ianni is managing training sessions. Doctors are optimistic about his timeline, and the veteran manager is expected to return to the technical area within the coming days.
