Before the start of the 2024/2025 club competitions, UEFA has released the latest club ranking of all teams in Europe.
This year’s UEFA latest club ranking was released on the official website of the body on Friday, July 12, 2024. The purpose of yearly ranking of all clubs in Europe is to help body place these teams into different pots when the draw for the group stages of all the European club competitions takes place in August 2015.
The winners of the various leagues, the winners of the Champions League, and the winner of the Europa League will all be placed in Pot 1, while the remaining pots will be filled by the other clubs that have already qualified for the competition, based on their ranking.
Union of European Football Associations determines the ranking based on the club’s performance in Europe in the last five years.
The top 10 clubs in latest ranking are:
- Manchester City (England)
- Real Madrid (Spain)
- Bayern Munich (Germany)
- Liverpool (England)
- Roma (Italy)
- Paris Saint-Germain (France)
- Villareal (Spain)
- Borussia Dortmund (Germany)
- Chelsea (England)
- Inter Milan (Italy)
Manchester United and Arsenal occupy the 14th and 19th positions, while Atletico Madrid and Barcelona are in the 17th and 18th place, respectively.
