The wrestling community was deeply saddened after Terry Gene Bollea, popularly known as Hulk Hogan dies at the age of 71 after a brief illness.
A statement released by the Wrestling Federation on its official social media channels verified the news, expressing profound sorrow at the death of the iconic former wrestler, Hulk Hogan.
Hulk Hogan’s family also shared a poignant announcement on his Instagram page on Thursday, July 24, 2025, confirming the legendary wrestler’s demise. The statement read:
“It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we confirm we have lost a legend. At this time of grief, we ask that everyone please respect the privacy of his family and friends. He will be missed but never forgotten.”
When was Hulk Hogan’s first wrestling fight?
Hulk Hogan began his professional wrestling career in 1977. He would go on to achieve immense fame in the 1980s with the WWF (now WWE), headlining major events and securing the WWF Championship six times.
His career also saw a significant shift in 1996 when he adopted the “Hollywood Hogan” persona as part of the NWO storyline in WCW. He was a two-time inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame, first in 2005 and again in 2020 as a member of the NWO.
