AC Milan has completed the signing of Luka Modric as a free agent after spending over a decade at Real Madrid.
The signing of Luka Modric was confirmed via the AC Milan official website on Monday, July 14, 2025. According to the report, the 39-year-old signed a one year contract which will keep him at San Siro until June 2026, with an option to trigger a one-year extension.
The statement reads:
“AC Milan is delighted to announce that Luka Modric has signed a contract with the club until 30 June 2026 with an option for a one-year extension until 30 June 2027.”
Modric will be expected to bring in his wealth of experience to AC Milan having won 28 trophies – including 6 Champions Leagues and 4 La Liga titles – with Madrid after his move from Tottenham in 2012, making him the club’s most decorated player.
