Bournemouth has reportedly comfirmed the signing of Chelsea’s goal keeper, Djordje Petrovic ahead of the 2025-2026 season.
Former Chelsea keeper, Djordje Petrovic who recently joined Arsenal this summer was on loan at Bournemouth and since he left to his new club the Cherries has been in need of first-choice keeper.
Petrovic joined Chelsea from New England Revolution in the summer of 2023 and the Serbia international made 31 appearances in his first season with the Blues. He spent the 2024-2025 campaign on loan at RC Strasbourg, where he made a total of 31 appearances for the French club.
The Cherries who have been keen on getting a goalkeeper after they sold ‘keeper Mark Travers to Everton. They saw Petrovic as the best goalkeeper in the French League last season where he made 31 appearances and kept 10 cleansheets.
Why did Petrovic exit Chelsea?
Petrovic departed Chelsea because he sought regular first-team football and was not assured of a starting position at Chelsea, especially with Robert Sanchez also at the club and the recent signing of Filip Jorgensen.
