Eberechi Eze is officially an Arsenal player once again, with the club confirming the long-term signing of the former Crystal Palace standout.

The news, posted on the club’s official website on Saturday, August 23, 2025, celebrates the Eberechi Eze’s return to north London, 14 years after his journey began in the Arsenal academy.

The 27-year-old England international first made a name for himself at Queens Park Rangers, where his breakthrough 2019/20 season earned him the Player of the Year award. The midfielder then moved to Crystal Palace in 2020, making more than 150 appearances and establishing himself as a key attacking force.

Eze went on to describe the unique bond he felt with the club. “They call us a family club because it’s impossible to truly understand what it’s like to be part of this club unless you’re in it,” he said. The transfer is being hailed as one of the most significant “hijacks” in recent football history, as Arsenal reportedly swooped in to reach an agreement with Crystal Palace despite Eze being close to a deal with rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
