Andre Onana moves from Man United to a new club

Reports indicate that the english side, Manchester United have potentially reached a transfer agreement for goalkeeper, Andre Onana.

According to various sports outlets, including reports from Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United has agreed to a season-long loan deal with Trabzonspor for Andre Onana. This move suggests that the club does not intend to include the Cameroonian goalkeeper in their plans for the upcoming 2025/2026 Premier League season.

While an agreement has been reached between the clubs, Onana has reportedly not yet finalized his personal terms with the Turkish side, though he is said to be receptive to the transfer. Football Insider has also reported that Andre Onana’s time at Manchester United is over, and the club is willing to consider new offers for him during the January transfer window.

The 29-year-old, who was a regular starter last season, has been told he is no longer part of the team’s future. Ruben Amorim, the new manager has already demonstrated his decision to keep Onana on the bench for the first three league games before signing Senne Lammens.

There are still possibility of a move to Saudi Pro League, when transfer window remains open on September 23, 2025. Despite United’s efforts to facilitate his departure, interest in the goalkeeper has been minimal, which could delay a permanent move until the January 2026 transfer window.
