Atlético Madrid has submitted an official complaint to UEFA, citing an “unacceptable situation” that occurred during their preparations at the Emirates Stadium.
The Spanish club’s players were unable to access hot water after their evening training session, forcing them to return to their hotel for showers following the cold, rainy session. This experience was deemed “unprofessional” and “disrespectful” by Atlético officials, adding an extra layer of tension just before a key European match.
Sources close to the team indicate that regardless of whether the issue was a technical fault, Atlético Madrid is demanding a formal explanation from both Arsenal and UEFA, arguing that the lack of proper facilities breached UEFA’s pre-match competition regulations.

The governing body is expected to review the complaint and launch an inquiry.
