Miss Orinemi Ayanate was brùtally attacked by her fiancé, Mr. Abi Tamunotonotomba Barango, who stabbed her multiple times in the head after she tried to end their relationship.
They had been dating for years, during which he supported her education and family. He told her he was single with only one child. However, she later discovered that he was actually married with four children.
Feeling deceived, Orinemi decided to end the relationship, as she didn’t want to be a second wife. The man agreed and suggested they remain friends. He invited her out for a drink, and afterward, offered to drive her home.
While driving, he took a different route. Suddenly, he pulled out a weapon and tried to shoot her, but when it failed, he hit her with a bottle and began stabbing her multiple times in the head while shouting, “If I can’t have you, no one will.”

Despite her injuries, she jumped out of the moving car. He attempted to run her over, but she escaped to the other side of the road and was rescued after screaming for help.
She is currently receiving treatment at Colworth Hospital, near Market Square, Odili Road, Port Harcourt.
